Patricia is a 14-year-old girl from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Patricia is a very loveable child who is mostly in good spirits. Her mood can be up and down some days. She gets easily excited and is very friendly when she feels happy. Patricia loves to be on the go whether it's outside or riding in the car. She enjoys watch TV and her favorite shows includes Barney, Punky Brewster and Sponge Bob. She also likes listening to music and singing. Patricia is diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder and learns at a slower rate than other children her age. Patricia requires assistance in her daily living skills but is cooperative and welcomes the assistance most of the time. She needs reminders to attend to activities of daily living. Patricia receives individualized education services to ensure her educational needs are met. She also receives physical, occupational and speech therapies. Visit me at the The Heart Gallery of Central Texas.
Patricia thrives with one-on-one attention and will need a family who has a great deal of time to spend with her. Patricia needs constant supervision and a family who is willing to work on her behaviors. She also needs a family who can provide her with a very firm but stable home life. She needs consistent rules and consequences. Patricia will do well with children much younger than herself in the home. The family will need a lot of patience and the ability to identify and acknowledge the small accomplishments.
