Patrick, born May 1992, was in the 9th grade when this portrait was taken (2007-08 school year). His favorite subject in school is math because he finds it challenging and makes him think. He wants to be a chef when he grows up – stating that he likes to cook just about everything. When he’s not in school he enjoys skateboarding. He also enjoys football and basketball. If he could have any three wishes they would be that his “whole family would be together under one roof”; that his mom “would get her life right”; and that they’d “all be a happy family”. The three words he used to describe himself are “fun”, “exciting” and “awesome”. Patrick know that being adopted means that he’d had a family to love and care for him forever.
