Preston is a 11-year-old boy from Kentucky who is hoping to be adopted.
Preston (9/98) is a cute blonde blue eyed boy. He is described as being very organized and spends a great deal of time organizing his toy cars. When he was asked what he likes to do, he smiled and said, "Get in a dirt pile, and play with cars, and army men." He can occupy his time with play, and as a result doesn't need constant attention. Preston loves cartoons and really likes the movies, Fantastic 4 and Spider Man 3. Some of his other favorite things to do include riding rides at amusement parks, playing in the water, going to the fair, and going to the drive-in (although he's only been once but says he wants to go again). He also likes animals, especially dogs and cats but he must be supervised with them because in his excitement he can inadvertently get too rough with them. Preston is in the fourth grade and Math is his favorite subject. He has a very positive attitude about his current school and he loves his teacher. He will need a family to advocate for him in the school system and to help him meet his educational goals. Preston is very positive about the possibility of being adopted. He is ready for a permanent family and he reportedly attaches well to those who care about him. He needs a family who will provide him with a very structured environment and who is well educated in positive parenting techniques. Due to the child’s special needs his adoptive family must have experience fostering special needs children or have lengthy training in working with special needs children. It is also recommended that the number of minor children in the home be limited due to the attention Preston will require. Also, Preston has requested a two parent family. In state families will be given priority to assist with the transistion process. Support services are available to assist with adopting a Special Needs Child.Disclaimer
