Raul is a cute boy with great big dimples. He is outspoken and assertive. He has a desire to be first in everything. He wants to be the first in line, the first to get a snack, the first at the dinner table and the first to receive any attention! Raul is working on patience because if he is not first, he will be sure and let everyone around him know that he is not pleased. He will go to great lengths to make sure he has your attention. Teachers say that Raul is brilliant and has no learning disabilities. However he needs help and guidance to learn to respect authority at home and at school. He receives special assistance at school with counseling and behavioral support. He is just emotionally fragile at this time in his life. Raul loves to play football, basketball and ride his bicycle. In fact, it is recommended that Raul participate in team sports or recreational activities that encourage him to learn to problem solve. Raul needs a family who can supply him with age appropriate supervision and redirection. Raul will require frequent and immediate behavior intervention than most children his age. His family needs to have a lot of time to devote to him to help him overcome issues of the past and to continue to grow and develop. He will do best in a family with strong parenting experience. Raul has an older brother who will not be placed with him in adoption.
