Richard is a 11-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Richard the "great outdoorsman"! He loves being outside. He likes to fish, swim, bicycle and just be outdoors. This is helpful for him as open spaces are easier to manage than rules and expectations. He can ride his bicycle for hours. Richard also enjoys some indoor activities like watching television and playing Play Station. Richard prefers solitary activities outside, but did enjoy summer camp. He prefers solitary activities because he struggles with peer relations. He is described as personable and friendly by adults.However, he attempts to annoy peers and is frequently petulant. Richard improved his school performance at the end of this school year, but needed help to maintain his behaviors at first. In order to reach his full potential Richard will need a family with solid rules and strong resolve. Richard really benefits from knowing the boundaries, especially since he can be taxing and uncooperative. Richard does best with one on one time and individual attention. He will do best without younger siblings. He may seem distant at first as he gets to know you but he is worth the wait.
