Rickey is a 17-year-old boy from Tennessee who is hoping to be adopted.

Rickey is mechanically inclined. He enjoys automotive & mechanical things, riding and working on bicycles, inline skating, and just being outside. He did wrestle for the high school one season when in one foster home and enjoyed this sport. Rickey has a strong imagination. Rickey receives Special Education services. He does not perform at the level of his peers. He sees a counselor to help him work through difficult issues and has a high level of trust for her. He also takes medication to help with his moods/emotions. Rickey’s case worker says he needs an active home and is a good worker; he enjoys building things and is mechanically inclined. Rickey’s mentor says that Rickey would do well on a BMX bike team because he is physical and athletic when given the opportunity and enjoys riding and jumping bikes. Rickey needs a ‘committed’ permanent home that will not give up on him as he works through the adoption process. The past has affected his trust of others and will need to be worked through once a family is identified. Rickey would do best in a two parent or single father home preferably with no other children so there would be no competing. Rickey likes to work and stay busy.
