Robert is an 8-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Robert is an active, healthy, little boy. Although he has challenges, he is very active and loves to run and play hard. Robert is a very loving child who craves attention and has lots of energy. Robert has difficulty adjusting to change and can regress when the environment around him is different. It ususally takes him a few weeks to adjust. He receives additional services to help him with his adjustment and challenges. Robert tends to be very shy when around strangers. It is noted that he does not react to pain and has no sense of danger. Robert has made tremendous progress while in foster care. He is able to speak in 2-3 word sentences. He likes to interact with other children and loves to give hugs. Robert can be a very sweet child. He can show a temper at times and when upset he will sometimes scream and cry. Robert does not like to be redirected or told what to do. He loves to be near other people at all times. Although he is not completely verbal he can make noises and body gestures. A family for Robert will need to be able to spend a lot of one on one time with him and willing to access resources that Robert will need. He will do best in a family that will accept Robert for the precious child that he is and help him reach his full potential.
