Photolisting Profile for Romelo

Romelo is a 11-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Romelo is somewhat shy and quiet at first, but as he warms up to you turns out to be a delightful and easygoing youngster. Once he turns on his sweet smile, you can't help but pay attention! Romelo reports that he most enjoys playing video games. He needs more encouragement to play outside, but when he is outdoors, you'll find him shooting hoops. Romelo eagerly anticipates having an adoptive family who will take him camping and swimming. He would also like to travel with hopes that he could fly on a plane. He admits that his first wish is to finally be able to jump on a trampoline! Romelo's favorite place to eat is McDonalds where he enjoys playing on the playground and eating hamburgers. Romelo is patient and kind towards others and does not respond in anger unless he is repeatedly provoked. School and daily tasks can be challenging for Romelo, but he benefits greatly from simple and concrete instructions and guidance from his teachers and parents. Romelo needs encouragement to tell the truth and to make the right choices. He'll need his family's patient guidance as he learns how to identify positive ways to express his feelings and needs. Romelo's forever family needs to be patient with him as he transitions to his new home. Romelo will do best with parents who will allow him to maintain contact with his older brother and younger sister who are placed separately in their permanent homes. Romelo's family will be accepting and encourage him to achieve his goals. Romelo will respond best to a family who is nurturing, attentive, and active. He does well with older and younger children alike, but sometimes struggles with relationships with children his own age. Romelo needs a family who can provide consistent boundaries and supervision.
