Ronnie (4/96) is a precious little guy who is very friendly and always has a smile for strangers that he meets. He loves to have his picture taken and is always ready to “cheese” for a camera. Ronnie is very polite and loves attention. When having a good time Ronnie might get “wound up” and have to be reminded to calm down; which he does immediately on cue. When carrying on a conversation, Ronnie will most times seek reassurance from his foster mother as he worries and sometimes becomes fretful that he might give an incorrect answer. Ronnie works hard to please those caring for him and loves to receive praise for his accomplishments. Ronnie is a big collector of play food and restaurant items. He has a large plastic bag full of pretend pizza, miniature cereal boxes, cups, plates and other food items. Some of his other favorite toys are his little cars and airplanes and trains. He likes to look at books and loves to be read to even more. Ronnie is very good and gentle with animals and loves dogs and cats. Ronnie needs an adoptive family that has parenting experience and advanced training, as he requires constant supervision. It is time for Ronnie to be placed with the family that will commit to being his family forever. He needs a family that will help him improve his social skills and help him with good decision making, as he can sometimes act on impulse. Ronnie continues to need partial assistance with daily living skills such as cutting up his meat and certain buttons and fasteners while getting dressed. In school Ronnie is easily distracted and works best with simple one-on-one instruction. Ronnie requires close supervision, frequent redirection and guidance from adults. He loves attention and may try to gain attention with actions that require re-direction. Although Ronnie may not understand the total concept of adoption, he understands what it feels like to be loved and cared for. Ronnie needs adoptive parents who will nurture him and look out for his best interests. Ronnie is such a sweet child. He needs adoptive parents who will love him for who he is and accept his limitations, while still striving to help him reach his fullest potential. Ronnie will be a lifetime commitment for his “forever family”. He will present you with a challenge but he will also bless you with many rewards.
