Sam is a 12-year-old boy from Colorado who is hoping to be adopted.

Sam is a terrific child who enjoys being active and riding his bike. He has dabbled in the extreme sports arena by snowboarding during the winter season, and hopes his future family is of the snow bunny affiliation! In the summer Sam likes to go horseback riding and feels he knows a lot about this large animal. In the 5th grade, Sam is incredibly intelligent academically. His teachers report he is a natural leader in the classroom and are thrilled when he volunteers to help peers with in-class assignments. He also benefits from an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Sam is always eager to interact with adults and has demonstrated compassion towards his peers. He is very particular about his surroundings and hopes his future family does not mind having a clean house, as this type of order is a preference. His caseworker is looking for a family which has at least one adult male figure in the household. Sam would like to have a family with whom he can express his outgoing nature and who will allow him to maintain contact with his siblings. All families will be considered. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related assistance.
