Photolisting Profile for Shain
Shain is a 12-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Shain is a sweet child and is so much fun to be around. He is of a larger build than his older brother and sometimes is mistaken as the older of the two, much to Patrick's dismay. It may take a while for Shain to warm up, but once he does he is very relaxed and talkative. Shain loves to clown around and make his brother laugh. Shain likes to take it easy and relax in front of the TV, but he also loves video games. Shain likes to do activites with his family and enjoys spending time with his current foster family. Shain enjoys playing basketball and laser tag. Shain also does well in school, but will need help encouraging him to get his work done. He can be headstrong and more determined than his brother. Shain appears to be more affected by past situations and actions of others, than his "big" brother.
Patrick and Shain are a delight to interact with. They both have a great sense of humor and make one another laugh easily. They warm up easily and talk pretty openly with adults. Shain and Patrick can get on each others nerves, but they always seem to work out their differences. Both boys like the computer and video games. Patrick is very protective of his "little" brother, even though he is only 10 months older! The boys like to spend time doing family activites and enjoy family outings. As much as they like to go places, they are content relaxing in front of the TV after a long day at school or helping out around the house. Shain and Patrick look forward to being adopted and moving on with their life. They have a sister who is not adopted with them, who they would like to maintain some contact with. Shain and Patrick are a great duo, who would love to find a family that they can call their own. Visit us at the Heart Gallery of North Texas.
Shain has experienced much about life in his short life. He needs a family willing to reinforce healthy boundaries and social interactions. A family who can help him in their continued growth and development and in the processing of past versus future will be an asset. Shain needs a family who is going to offer unconditional love and encourage him to be the best he can. Shain will do well in a fmaily with older siblings. Shain desires a family who will be active with them and allow them to participate in extra curricular activities. Patrick and Shain have two older sisters who will not be placed with them in adoption but they would like some contact with them.
