Shannon is an affectionate and caring ten-year old girl. Swimming, playing outside and helping her foster family around the house are some of her favorite activities. Shannon attends the 5th grade and has progressed so well in school this year that she received a "Best Student" award! She loves to read and English is her favorite subject. Shannon gets along well with her foster family and her peers. She likes to have fun, make jokes and smile. She is in counseling, which will need to continue after placement. Shannon would like to maintain contact with her maternal grandparents and her foster family. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related expenses.
