Shantell is a slim Afro- Caribbean female with albinism who has golden brown hair, hazel eyes and a light complexion skin tone. Shantell appears to be shy and timid though she does enjoy spending time with friends her own age. Shantell also enjoys any type of art activity as well as spending time outdoors, singing, and reading chapter books. Shantell is diagnosed with mild vision problems for which she has been referred to a specialist for further evaluation. Shantell is currently a seventh grader in an ESE classroom. She is classified as educably handicapped. Shantel has never had to repeat a grade and her grades are generally B's and C's with one recent D. Shantell is physically healthy and takes no medications. Shantell has no history of agressive behavior, hyperactivity or difficulties with major impulse control. Shantell says that her long term goals are to stay in school, eventually become a teacher and/ or become a singer
