Shelby, like most girl her age enjoys playing on the computer, listen to music, playing basketball ,and loves going to the mall. She is full of energy, and takes pride in her ability to do backbends, splits and dance. Currently, she is in the fourth grade regular education. Shelby has experienced significant hurt and loss in her life, and as a result has had several placements, since entering foster care. Currently, in a residential facility where she receives counseling, guidance and support to assist her in developing appropriate strategies to deal with her emotions. Shelby has made great progress in being responsible for her behavior and moving forward with her life. Shelby is looking forward to being adopted by an active, fun and understanding family who will offer her the love, support and encouragement that she deserves.
