Stephanie likes to watch television, listen to music and read. She sometimes acts younger than her age. This may get in the way of positive interaction with other children. For the most part, Stephanie likes to be with others her age. She likes to please others, but she also likes to have her own way. Stephanie is making progress in trying not to always be in charge. She is a giving person and always thinks about sharing with others. She does well in school and is a good reader. She participates in special education classes and her teacher reports Stephanie does best in small group settings with lots of one on one attention. She enjoys being the center of attention and she often asks for praise from others. She has a smile to warm your heart. Stephanie says she enjoys swimming and soccer, playing games outside, eating macaroni and cheese, watching movies and skating. She also likes to watch television, especially cartoons. She enjoys city living, cold weather and hopes to be a singer when she grows up. A music lover, Stephanie says her favorite singers are Jennifer Lopez and Brittany Spears. Stephanie will benefit from a structured family, but a family that is also nurturing. She will need help with her education and the family will need to advocate for her special educational requirements. Stephanie is currently receiving specialized care for her emotional needs but is expected to be ready for placement soon. She needs to remain in Texas due to siblings due to a close relationship to her brother who is not a part of this placement.
