Steven is a 12-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Steven is a sweet boy to be around, and his medical conditions do not stop him from smiling and trying to overcome obstacles. He has Viral Encephalitis. Steven has a wheelchair but has been able to walk on his own. Steven sometimes needs assistance with everyday activities but for the most part he has showed progress in being able to do it on his own. Steven has difficulties participating in sports but that does not stop him from being a sports fan. He spends time in doors watching movies and playing with toys that make sound and light up. Steven needs a family who will understand his medical needs, a family who will be structured and nurturing. Steven needs a family who is good with children with special needs. He will require a family who will give him constant redirection and patience. Steven needs to be welcomed into a home that is full of love, kindness, patience and understanding.
