Syra is a 4-year-old girl from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Syra is an extremely happy child and is constantly bringing a smile to the faces of those around her. She loves being the center of attention and gets jealous when the foster family is paying more attention to her foster sister. She is very verbal, and lets out a squeal when she sees or hears something she likes. She laughs and smiles constantly, and can be very silly. She is able to sit up on her own, and is learning to scoot around the room. Syra has been diagnosed with shaken baby syndrome. She is partially paralyzed on her right side, but has retained some movement of her right arm and leg, although not of her right hand. Syra is currently fed through a G-tube button, but is beginning to learn how to eat some food orally. She is receiving therapy weekly and continues to make progress. Visit me at the TARE Gallery. The adoptive family needs medical background to deal with the many health issues of Syra. A family involved with the community will help Syra get the resources she needs. Syra needs much love and support. She appears happiest at home with her family.
