Photolisting Profile for Taylor
Taylor is a 12-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Taylor does not solicit active conversation or play with adults or children. Taylor is respectful of adults and polite. Taylor is a sweet boy. He provides one word answers to questions, but he never elaborates. If asked how things are everything is either "fine" or "good". Taylor loves matchbox cars and trucks and enjoys Spongebob. Taylor also enjoys church and participating in church functions. Taylor has maintained his grades. Taylor is developmentally delayed and has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Taylor's speech and understanding appear to be delayed for his age, and he receives services through the school district to address these delays. Taylor has a very close bond with his twin brother, Tyler. Placement would need to include both children. The adoptive family will need to provide the children with love, acceptance, and patience. They also will need to be patient with the transition, and understand that it will take some time for the boys to adjust.
Tyler and Taylor are loving children who get along well with one another. They need a loving family who will provide structure. They need the security that a permanent family will provide them. They need to be kept together. Taylor and Tyler are identical twins, who share a special bond. They get along and play well together. They love video games, watching television and playing with trucks and cars. Both Tyler and Taylor have Autism Spectrum Disorder. The boys have some developmental delays but are eager to learn and complete schoolwork without complaining. They do well in school and make good grades. Transition to an adoptive home may take some time due to the change of routine being difficult for them. They will also like to remain in contact with their foster parents after adoption. The family who adopts Taylor and Tyler will need to give them structure, love, security, and patience. Visit us at the TARE Gallery.
The adoptive family will need to be able to keep a very structured routine for Taylor. They need to have some understanding and/or experience with children who have Autism. The family would need to understand that it might take a longer length of time before a placement can be made. The boys need a caring and attentive family that is willing to adopt both of them. The boys are inseparable and get along very well. The family should be affiliated with some religious entity and actively participate. The family should be active in the community and activities outside of the home.
