Look at Timothy - he couldn’t resist playing a “tough guy” for his photo! This teenager sometimes likes to act goofy and play around with his facial expressions, which might be perceived by people who don’t know him as being defiant and/or odd. But, after getting to know this young man, you understand that it is all in pure fun as Timothy has a great sense of humor. He enjoys the company of others and gets along wonderfully with his peers. He likes music, playing sports (primarily basketball), watching movies, and playing video games. Although he is academically challenged, Timothy is receptive to doing his school work and attending classes. He usually follows rules set in his placements, school and community. He has some challenges and will most likely need the guidance of others when be becomes an adult. He does well with prompts to complete chores or other tasks, and while in his current foster home, he has grown tremendously in his skills and independence. Timothy will need help learning responsible living skills. He will also need to rely on his family for consistent support to enable him to make the choices that are right for him. A forever family in his corner will make all the difference for this teen. Can you be that family?
