Travis is a well-mannered and helpful boy with a delightful sense of humor. Funny jokes make a smile light up his face and he just glows. Travis puts a lot of thought into what he says. He loves sports such as football, baseball, and swimming, playing board games, and reading comic books. Travis loves animals, and especially any kind of dog. A specialized class at school provides the curriculum assistance Travis needs to be successful, both in class and between classes. Living in a group home is helping him practice and improve his social and behavioral skills, particularly with peers. His staff really cares about Travis and the structure and routine have helped him tremendously. Travis needs an adoptive family that will provide him with guidance and plenty of attention. He needs an adoptive family with parenting experience and/or experience working with teens. An adoptive family for Travis must be willing to stay involved with his school and teachers. They must be patient, consistent, and understanding of what he has experienced. Travis would dearly love for his adoptive family to have a dog or allow him to get one.
