Travis is a charming and expressive young boy. He seems very attentive and polite. He describes himself as "creative". Travis enjoys arts and crafts and would some day like to be a director or "movie maker". Although Travis can be temperamental and does not like when he doesn't get his way, he seems to generally accept consequences and redirection well. He has recently been described as helpful and willing to do chores. Travis has been working on his manners and seems very conscientious about being polite and speaking appropriately to others. Travis is very active and likes to be on the go. He particularly enjoys swimming and riding bicycles. Travis also likes to spend time indoors watching movies and playing games, such as Monopoly. He likes playing with other children "if they aren't bossy and mean". Travis is said to have a good sense of humor and likes to run, play and have fun. Travis is a healthy child and he has recently begun wearing a hearing aide in one ear. He is said to be doing very well with the wear and care of his new hearing aide, although he says he is still getting used to wearing it and the way it sounds. Travis will do well with a family who is very patient, nurturing and understanding. He needs consistent, age appropriate structure, discipline and supervision. Travis will benefit from being mentally and physically stimulated. He is capable of testing his limits, but clear and consistent rules and expectations will help him learn his boundaries. Travis needs a family who will make a committment to him and will be there for him.
