Trevor is an 18-year-old boy from Florida who is hoping to be adopted. The arduous task and once popular pastime of building towers with stacking cards is a game that Trevor has been playing without ever trying. In Trevor's young life, he endured many disappointments and felt mislead by the important adults in his life. Having been separated from the ones he treasured most, Trevor had to take the helm and begin again. With the new cards he was dealt, Trevor built himself a new tower to protect himself, keeping others away as his sense of security was all but none. He learned to cope by trusting few. He began disrupting relationships and acting out. His way of coping with loss was difficult for others but to Trevor, these behaviors helped him preserve stability and kept his "shield" strong in order to hide his true emotions in his ever changing and undependable environment. Trevor's ideal family will have high energy, will have a working knowledge of behavior management and will utilize services as recommended. If you feel that you have love in your heart, relentless patience and an unyielding commitment to parent a child who is looking for his forever family so that he can learn to love, trust and find stability for the first time in his life, you may be the parent for Trevor! Families must also be open to birth sibling connections.
