He likes to play outside, watch cartoons and interact with other children. Tristan likes to hug people and be very close to them. He does need reminders about personal boundaries with others. He responds well to redirection and his ability to maintain appropriate boundaries is improving. Tristian's energy needs direction and he may seem anxious at times. Hugs comfort him and he often wants to be rocked before bedtime. Tristan does well with a rewards system, positive reinforcement, and redirection provided. Tristian is a sweet, good-natured child who is responsive to praise. He is very intelligent and loves learning new things. Tristan needs a loving, nurturing and patient family. The family will provide structure and be able to respond with positive reinforcements. The ideal family will have older children or no children in the home. He has difficulty with younger children and gets overwhelmed when many people are around. The family will be willing to thoroughly understand his needs and will also advocate and support therapeutic recommendations. Tristan will continue to benefit from accommodation in the school setting tailored for his needs such as small class size, ample attention from the teacher and positive reinforcement.
