Tristin is a 9-year-old girl from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.

Tristin is an animated and self-assured young lady who is creative and artistic. She likes art, animals, basketball, card and board games, drawing, coloring, reading and singing. She wants one day to become a veterinarian or an art teacher. Tristan does fairly well in school and is in the fourth grade. She continues working on her socialization and peer interaction skills. She is physically healthy and has some emotional needs for which it is necessary that she continue therapy. A family for Tristan would be either a two parent family or a single parent female where she would be the only child or the youngest child in the family. Tristan needs parents who have strong parenting skills and who will be patient in developing a close parent/child relationship. She needs a family who can be accepting of her background and who can provide her with the reassurance that she is lovable, capable and worthwhile. Her family will need to be understanding of her past and willing to recognize and provide for her needs. Tristan is free for adoption. She would like to maintain contact with two of her siblings. It is important that a family for Tristan provide her with the stimulation and nurturing that she needs so she can develop to her fullest potential.
