Tyler is a pleasant, thoughtful, and outgoing boy. He is naturally active and enjoys riding his bicycle and playing basketball. Tyler also likes to play with toy soldiers, toy cars, and Legos. His favorite cartoons are Spiderman and Spongebob Square Pants. Tyler loves to be praised and seeks approval from the people who care for him.
Tyler attends a specialized classroom that enables him to function at his best. He is a very intelligent boy who has missed out on a lot of basics from his several moves. There is a plan in place that will hopefully allow Tyler to be mainstreamed into public school and a larger classroom. Assistance from the adults who work with him helps Tyler stay on task both in school and at home. He has participated in programs to help his socialization skills.
Tyler is extremely excited about finding a permanent home and a forever family. He has a bug collection that he plans to present to his adoptive family as a gift. Tyler’s desire for a permanent family is very strong and he is willing to work for the rewards that will bring. He needs an adoptive family who will commit to maintaining his medication and medical appointments. They will need to advocate for him in school and in the community. Tyler requires a structured environment with clear, well-defined boundaries and appropriate consequences. Stability, consistency, nurturing, and lots of attention are also necessary to help Tyler function at his best. He should be the only or youngest child in the home.
