Photolisting Profile for Vincente

Vincente is a 12-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Vincente loves to be outside and remains active all the time. Basketball is his favorite sport and he is quite athletic. He is shy when he first meets someone, but Vincente's friendly nature soon takes over and he becomes very social. His foster parent speaks affectionately of Vincente and describes him as "a great kid." Vincente has made tremendous progress both in the home and at school. He responds very well to strong male role models and is very close to his sisters. Vincente needs the security and structure of predictable daily routines and limits to feel safe. Vincente receives extra help at school, as he tends to struggle with redirection more at school than at home. It is important to him that he feel his opinions are valued and that he is heard. Vincente is an easy-going child who is lots of fun to be around.

Vincente and Veronica share more than a typical brother and sister relationship - they are twins! Despite the usual sibling rivalries, Veronica and Vincente are very bonded to each other and it is very important to them that they are adopted together. Vincente and Veronica are both very active and love spending time outdoors. Some of their favorite activities include playing basketball and skating. Veronica is also a big fan of Hannah Montana while Vincente loves to play video games, like most boys his age. The school offers Vincente and Veronica extra help and structure and both are working hard to make academic progress. Their foster parents describe the twins as "great kids" who have made tremendous progress and are hopeful that the right family will end the twins' wait for adoption. After seeing the possibility of having a forever family, Veronica and Vincente have been very motivated and have an attitude of optimism that they too can be adopted! Vincente will do well in a very structured and patient family. It is important that he is able to receive lots of one-on-one attention to ensure that he feels validated and heard. His family must be able to advocate for him within the school system to make sure that he gets any services that may help him. The family must be willing to commit to adopting both Vincente and his twin sister, Veronica.
