A current home study is necessary to adopt a child

There are thousands of children in the United States waiting to be adopted by loving and caring parents; to become part of a family they will belong to forever. United States law requires that prospective adopting parents have a completed home study (also called a Family Profile) to adopt a child. Though there may be minimal costs, in most states public funds are available to cover the cost of Home Studies for parents who want to adopt a waiting child from the foster care system.

Obtain A Home Study Before Inquiring About A Child

Children on this website are legally free for adoption. All the children have Caseworkers who are actively involved in finding the right family for each child. Therefore, in the interest of finding homes for the children in a timely manner, Caseworkers only want inquiries from parents who already have Home Studies. It is required that you have a home study in order for us to forward your inquire to any Caseworker.

Please do not call these organizations for additional information about the children. You will be contacted and more information will be available when a child's caseworker receives an inquiry from you stating you have a completed home study.

If You Don'T Have A Homestudy

Click "I need a home study" which will direct you to a contact form. After submitting the form, you will be contacted by someone who can help you get a home study in your state of residence. Please keep in mind that the child you are wanting to adopt may be adopted by the time your home study is completed, however, there are hundreds of other children who will need loving homes when you are ready to adopt.
